Communication #1: Bartender Recruitment Communication

This is a communication that you can send to your prospective bartenders when it is time to reach out to recruit them as Guest Bartenders.  As with all of the communications in this program, you can send this as an email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram or however you want to send it to any one of your bartenders.  This communication:

  • Sets the bartender's expectations
  • Helps you to request and acquire the bartenders' commitment to follow the program of sending out emails and social media postings once a week for the four weeks leading up to the event

You will raise more money and awareness if you recruit your bartenders using this email rather than asking them on the phone or in person

  • Make sure you have read the 'Guest Bartenders Guidelines' form before speaking to any bartenders

Simply:

  1. Copy and Paste the communication below and send it you your bartenders in any method you choose: email, Facebook Messenger, LinkedIn, or however you want to send it to any one of your bartenders
  2. Fill in the blank spaces with your event's information
  3. Customize this communication any way you like
  4. For On-Premise event emails, attach your flyer to this email (each time) as well
  5. Change the Subject line of the email to something you want
  6. Send it separately/individually to each of your prospective bartenders

FOR VIRTUAL EVENTS:

Dear (Prospective Bartender),

As you may know or may not know, I sit on the Board of Directors for  (XXXX), or, I volunteer for (XXXXXXX), (or however you want to start of the communication)

and we are raising funds for our (XXXXXX program/project/capital campaign/mission/etc.) by hosting a Virtual Guest Bartending Event.

We are looking for Guest Bartenders who are well-liked and who have friends who would be glad to support  them for a good cause, and so I thought of you!

The best part is that you don't even have to know how to bartend!  All that I am asking you do is:

  • Click 'Like' and click 'Going' on our Facebook Event page
  • Invite 100 of your friends to attend the event on Facebook
  • Forward a pre-written email to 20 or so of your contacts
  • Copy and paste the body of that email as your social media status update
  • Share the event on Facebook

That's it, that's all that I am asking you to do!

If you think that you are too busy with other commitments then don't worry about it, I will put you at the top of the list to ask for next year and we can see if your time permits involvement then.
